The concept of diversity has been given great importance and attention in the United States only in recent years. Most American workers are fascinated with the concept. However, very few have the deep knowledge and understanding that the concept is America’s strength. Recognition, understanding and retention of this knowledge created a very powerful impact in the American economy and such knowledge strengthened the competitiveness of American services and products here in the United States and the global community.
The competitiveness of American services and products will continue to climb, and the barriers in American workers’ productivity, such as ethnocentrism, xenophobia, racism and culture shock manifesting in different images and forms of human behaviors in organizations, will be easily recognized.
Building consensus not only preserves the United States’ value of leadership but it also paves the way to the United States leading not to become a battleground for races nationally and internationally, but to continue to stand as a cohesive leader in the global economy and a powerful leader in promoting a better and realistic system of free enterprise among women as well as minorities in the United States.
The four key steps in building consensus are: 1) Identifying. defining, and understanding the cultural environments of communities surrounding American organizations; 2) Envisioning the utilization of diversity concepts to influence long term change and advancements in harmony with career advancements and job satisfactions of American workers, with respect to competent leadership capability; 3) Strengthening the American workers’ leadership skills to promote American services and products in value-driven standards with respect to cultural awareness; 4) Continued accurate utilization of cultural diversity concept in (unified) perspectives of social, technological as well as globalized approaches in communication TRENDS.
